Mozhdeh Matin

Mozhdeh Matin is a fashion and textile designer. She studied Fine Arts in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and Fashion Design at Mod’Art in Lima. Since 2008, she has collaborated with artisans from rural communities in the Andes on textile development and preservation projects.

Her practice is characterized by a language of artistic compositions rooted in community, heritage, and craftsmanship. Matin’s work has been exhibited internationally in London, Copenhagen, Madrid, New York, Paris, Milan, Mexico City, and Tokyo, with recent exhibitions in Lima, including Crisis Gallery (November 2024), as well as self-directed initiatives such as Relatos Textiles.

Her selected presentations include Weavers of the Clouds at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London (2019), Hawapi 2019 – Máxima Acuña at ICPNA (2020), and her recognition as a finalist for the Latin American Fashion Award in the Artisanal Project category (2023).
