The Coolest Kind of Cotton

Cotton is a summer fiber of excellence. But not all cottons are equal and Peruvian cotton is special. Why? Thanks to ideal growing conditions, extra-long staple length and hand harvesting, Peruvian pima cotton is the world’s finest, prized for its exceptional durability, softness and brilliant luster.

Pima cotton is softer and more absorbent than other cottons.

Ideal growing conditions in coastal Peru create the best quality pima cotton in the world.

Due to its extra-long 1-3/8" staple length, Peruvian pima cotton is especially soft, durable, and highly resistant to pilling.

Environmentally friendly hand-harvesting results in brilliant white fibers which dye beautifully and are free from scratchy impurities.

Perfect for those who suffer from allergies or those with sensitive skin.

"BOMBICIS"

Bombicis is a family business led by Genoveva Freire and focused on the finest children's clothing using Perú´s organic pima cotton and alpaca.

Genoveva finds inspiration in Perú´s cultural heritage that she continues to discover through her travels. In 2011 her youngest daughter was born and she firmed up her commitment to give her the best natural ingredients as well as the finest natural textures. It was in 2015 that the brand formally started.

Today, she continues building a brand for children that is rooted in tradition and craftsmanship, specially researching the interesting Paracas culture while giving back to the communities with an active program of social responsibility.

"ESCVDO"

Escvdo is a Latin American luxury fashion brand committed to Perú´s legacy. The brand is headed by Giuliana and Chiara Macchiavello, two Peruvian sisters who pay tribute to their country of origin through long term collaborations with rural artisans who still practice ancestral weaving techniques. The main idea of the brand is to preserve Peruvian artisan techniques through innovation in cuts and colorways. Their mantra: devoted to design; committed to heritage.

Escvdo works with sustainable materials such as organic pima cotton from the coastal region of Pisco which has the longest threads yielding an exceptionally soft product. Alpaca wool is sourced from the Peruvian Andes where they partner with local craftspeople in the preservation of traditional sheering and hand-spinning techniques as well as the conservation and promotion of the 22 natural fiber tones found in native Peruvian alpacas. Alpaca wool is softer, lighter, and warmer than most other wools and is considered renewable and eco-friendly. No animals are harmed in the production process.
