Wearing many hats

Hat making as an artisanal line arises in Peru with the arrival of the Spaniards. It is enriched with the manual dexterity of the aboriginal inhabitants and the diversity of fibers that the conquerors found in the new territories.

Virginia Lynch (1946) was born and raised in Lima, her mother from Piura and father from Lima. She is a designer and artist. Inspired by the cultural preservation of Toquilla Straw Weaving, she began a long journey in search of the roots of this precious heritage from the North of Peru.  Vicky is proud to present a collection of very fine hats specially created for the Aracari Shop.

My very best wishes and happy shopping
